Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Sapan A. Parikh attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). From an early age, Dr. Parikh knew he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. It was during his senior year at Bridgewater-RaritanHigh School that his aspirations started to become a reality. He was accepted into the accelerated seven-year dental program at Fairleigh Dickinson University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After just three years, Dr. Parikh graduated summa cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Dr. Parikh’s hard work and perseverance paid off when he was one of five students selected to treat patients in a Northfield dental office during his senior year at UMDNJ. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Parikh was offered a position by UMDNJ to work as an associate dentist in all three of their satellite offices. During this period, he had the opportunity to service the underserved community of South Jersey. That experience is what currently motivates Dr. Parikh to dedicate his time and expertise to community service events.
Dr. Parikh has received a two-year fellowship in Oral Implantology from the prestigious NYU Dental Post-Graduate Program. He is a current Fellow of the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantology).
Additionally, Dr. Parikh plays an active role in dental organizations. He serves as the Treasurer for the Indian Dental Association of North America. Dr. Parikh continues to stay busy as an active member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, Middlesex County Dental Society, Academy of Dental Education Association, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Rishi I. Nijhawan, born and raised in New Jersey, has been a resident of Branchburg for the past 20 years. Being inspired by his orthodontist as a child, he pursued his interest in dentistry by going to the New Jersey Institute of Technology‘s 7-Year Accelerated Dental Program. After being a part of the Albert Dorman Honors College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in engineering science in only three years, he subsequently received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, becoming the youngest dentist in his graduating class. At UMDNJ, Dr. Nijhawan was inducted to Gamma Pi Delta, the National Prosthodontic Honor Society.To advance his training and experience after graduation, Dr. Nijhawan successfully completed a rigorous general practice residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Nijhawan has received a two-year fellowship in Oral Implantology from the prestigious NYU Dental Post-Graduate Program. He is a current Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, relaxing at the beach, playing sports, and watching movies. In fact, he has even acted in an Indian Bollywood film! Most importantly, Dr. Nijhawan’s passion for the dental arts is evident through his compassion and care for each and every patient. His friendly smile and personality has been featured on the cover of The New Dentist magazine.

Dr. Lee attended college at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, where she completed a 3-year accelerated track followed by her dental doctorate at the University of Medicine and Dentistry – New Jersey Dental School in 2008, graduating with honors and the Dental Implant Student Award. She further went on to complete a 3-year postgraduate specialty program in Periodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore, earning a certificate in Periodontics and Masters in Oral Biology in 2011.Dr. Lee is in private practice and is active in teaching and leadership roles within her specialty organizations. Dr. Lee is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine – Department of Periodontics, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics at the General Practice Residency of Jersey City Medical Center. She has volunteered for “Give Kids a Smile Day” and provided emergency need-based dental care on a week-long dental mission trip to the Dominican Republic in 2008.Dr. Lee is a speaker for Colgate-Palmolive and lectures at local and regional study groups and provides continuing education courses on diverse periodontal topics.Dr. Lee currently chairs the Task Force on New Periodontists for the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), and serves as a member of the
Membership Advisory Committee, and Task Force on Mission, Vision, and Branding for the AAP. She was recently chosen to participate in the inaugural Leadership, Engagement, Action and Development Program by the American Academy of Periodontology, designed to cultivate leaders within
the specialty.Dr. Lee is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and Northeastern Society of Periodontists.
Dr. Parth Shah received his dental degree in 2016 from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where he was a member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontics Honor Society. Prior to attending dental school, he completed his undergraduate studies from Rutgers University – New Brunswick with a degree in cell biology and neuroscience and a minor in economics. After completing his schooling, Dr. Shah completed a General Dentistry Residency at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Since then, Dr. Shah is constantly reading about dentistry and watching continuing education videos. He also participates in continuing education courses once a month.
Dr. Shah has been practicing dentistry in the Somerset area for 2 years. As a dentist, he strives to educate his patients on their oral health and its connection to their diet and systemic health while providing quality dentistry. Dr. Shah enjoys performing cosmetic procedures, such as veneers, crowns, bonding, and surgery. He is a member of the American Dental Association.
When Dr. Shah is not working on improving smiles, he enjoys sports, reading, and music. He also gets to visit with his family often, as they live in the Somerset area.
After receiving his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Tinny Dhaliwal attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he earned his DMD in 1983. He has been practicing general dentistry in Bayonne, New Jersey, since 1988. He initially started practicing with South Hudson Dental Group, and now he is a part of our team at Platinum Dental Group.
Dr. Dhaliwal continues to regularly expand his knowledge and stay abreast of new advances in dentistry through a broad variety of professional development courses. His commitment to incorporating the latest developments in dentistry allows him to provide his patients with the highest quality dental care. He enjoys working with patients of all ages to help them preserve healthy smiles for a lifetime.
Originally from South Brunswick, New Jersey, Dr. Calvin Huen received his dental degree from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. There he was nominated to join the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontics Honor Society and awarded dean’s list. After graduating he completed a general practice residency at Hackensack University Medical Center rated by U.S. News as the #1 hospital in New Jersey.
Prior to dental school, Dr. Huen attended Saint Peter’s University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology in three years, graduating summa cum laude. While there, he was a founding member and first vice president of the Gamma Sigma chapter of the Gamma Sigma Epsilon Chemistry Honor Society.
Regularly attending continuing education courses, Dr. Huen consistently strives to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in dental techniques and technology in order to provide his patients with the best quality of care. He has been regarded by both the people he was worked and his patients as being genuinely friendly and caring. Dr. Huen is currently a member of the New Jersey Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
From childhood Dr. Gabin always wanted to be a dentist. He loved the idea of fixing things and helping people and the challenge of figuring out the problem and finding the solution.
Born in Bayonne, Dr. Gabin attended Temple University and graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He served 2 years in the Air Force as a general dental officer. He was additionally trained in oral surgery at Wilford Hall Air Force Hospital and served as the base oral surgeon at Kelly AFB for 9 months.
Dr.Gabin spent the remaining time rotating in the other dental specialties. Following the Air Force, Dr. Gabin returned to his home state of NJ and entered private practice. Secaucus has been his practice home since 1976. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Gabin has served on the State Dental Society Council on Dental Education and has presented clinics at the NJDA annual meeting in cosmetic dentistry. He has taught graduate dentists at the Jersey City Medical Center.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, his wife Joan, two sons and their wonderful spouses and even more fun, the 4 grandchildren and 1 granddog. When I can you will find me playing golf and seeing the world as much as I can. When asked if there is any thing else he would rather do his answer would be ” After more than 35 years of being a dentist, if I won the lottery I would still practice dentistry but as a hobby.”
Dr. Kilpatrick grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and fondly remembers spending summers on Lake Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan for both his undergraduate B.S. degree in biology and his graduate D.D.S. degree. While in dental school, he received the Ida Gray Award for his work with the under-served veteran community.*
After graduation, he worked for 3 years in Battle Creek, MI for the National Health Service. He recently left his private practice in Chicago and relocated to New Jersey for a career opportunity for his wife.
They are enjoying exploring our area, particularly trying new cuisines and visiting New York City. He was particularly impressed by an architectural tour of New York landmarks.
